Welcome to my website:
I’m an award-winning author, storyteller, artist, and educator. My compelling call-to-action in visual and literary arts explores color, texture, relationships, loss, redemption, and transformation.

Storytelling

In my professional personal narrative storytelling work I create and perform true stories from real-life experiences that can grapple with self-acceptance, identity, or uncover the power of truth and how creativity can save lives.

My true essays and poems are published in books, anthologies, literary journals, and online storytelling journals. In tandem, I’m a speaker at conferences, a Poet-in-Residence in schools with Silvermine Art Partners and a Guest Lecturer at universities across the country, teaching feature writing/personal narrative essays in Journalism, Public Relations, and New Media Departments.

Art

Eleven of my clay monotypes are in the invitational exhibition of eight Connecticut printmakers, April 27 – June 2, 2024, “Views from a Matrix.”

I am creating a one-woman, multi-media performance and visual art show that I am taking on the road. It’s about losing 50-years worth of my original art in a flood right before my art retrospective, the piece explores loss, redemption, and transformation.

Three of my lithographs and engravings were juried into the “Responding to the Overturn of ROE V WADE Anthropology of Motherhood” virtual exhibition. You can view this powerful artist call to action here. I am honored to have my art included. While I created the prints several years ago, their powerful messages resonate today.
